Disease Control

The UNOS Disease Control System enables a Government's or NGO's Disease Control Division to monitor, report and control outbreaks of diseases.

With the combination of mobile phone software deployed by agents in the field and a Control Command Centre at headquarters, the system provides up-to-date information from the field to the decision makers LIVE.

Consolidated Field Reporting
The UNOS Disease Control System enables the provision of up-to-date and consolidated field reporting by field officers to the Control Command Centre to enable decision-makers to monitor the spread of an outbreak of a disease and see trends of the spread of the disease.  The system will also mark reports from field officers to a map giving the Control Command Centre a geographical snapshot of the spread of the disease.

Tracking and Communicating with Field Officers

The system also enables tracking of officers out in the field using global positioning co-ordinates marked to maps for an easy and quick view of their locations.  The system also facilitates communications one-to-one and one-to-many between the Command Control Centre and the field officers.  This will result in improved information relay and exchange and makes for more effective and efficient disease control measures.

Notification of Disease Outbreak

The system is also designed to be capable of marking a perimeter around an infected area on an integrated map interface.  If a disease has a high probability of spreading, notifications of the same may be sent to residents of a particular area via SMS.  Residents may subscribe to this SMS notification service to receive notifications and updates on the spread of diseases.
