My phone has predictive text capability. Can I use predictive text to type my message?
Yes. In your message screen, press the “#” key on your keypad to change between normal input (abc), numeric (123) or predictive text (Nat.) as indicated on the top right of your screen. Alternatively, you may set predictive text as default by going to “Settings”, Text Input Method: “Nat (Native)”, under the main Options menu.
What is Native (Nat.) and Direct (Abc/abc/123)?
These are text input methods. Under the main Options menu, click on Setting and Text Input Method. Select Native (Nat) if you want to use predictive text or QWERTY keyboard as your default text input. Select Direct (Abc/abc/123) if you do not want predictive text as your default text input. When in the message screen, the top right indicator will indicate whether you are on Native (Nat.), normal (Abc/abc) or on numeric mode (123). Press the “#” key to change the mode.
I cannot key in anything on my mobile phone’s QWERTY keyboard. Why?
If you are using a mobile phone with a QWERTY keyboard, you will need to set Text Input to “Native” or “Nat”. To do this, on the UNOS PRO main menu page, go to Options → Setting → Text Input Method. Select Native (Nat). You can also switch to Native by pressing [CTRL + #]. Please contact Customer Care if you require further assistance.
What is Fail-over SMS?
Voice features will require data connection when calls are being made. If data connection is not available UNOS will use an SMS to trigger the call. This fail-over SMS mechanism ensures that the features are still accessible despite the absence of data connectivity. This is only available in UNOS Voice. It is not available in UNOS PRO.
Is there a charge for fail-over SMS?
Yes, each fail-over SMS is chargeable to the user – the charge is based on the user’s respective carrier or service provider charge plan.
