FROST & SULLIVAN'S 2008 MALAYSIA TELECOMS AWARD

9 May 2008.  UNOS was inducted into Frost & Sullivan's Best Practices Hall of Fame when it bagged the 2008 Malaysia Telecoms Award for the Most Innovative Application/Product of the Year.

Frost & Sullivan's 2008 Malaysia Telecoms Awards honoured oustanding local and global companies in the telecommunications sector.  In its fourth consecutive year, the Awards recognised 13 exemplary organisations at a banquet and award ceremony held on 9 May 2008 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Speaking at the ceremony, Manoj Menon, partner and Asia-Pacific Managing Director of Frost & Sullivan, commented on the global competitiveness of the local telcos that have withstood and raised the standards of the industry in Malaysia. 

Reinforcing this comment, Nitin Bhat, Asia-Pacific Senior Vice President, ICT Practice of Frost & Sullivan, said that a combination of innovation, service differentiation and revenue stream diversification enabled the award recipients to chalk up exceptional performance in the year 2007.  Bhat added that critical to the success of the award recipients has been their ability to provide relevant products and services to increasingly demanding customers in Malaysia and in venturing outside the country to diversify their business portfolio. 

Split into three main clusters - Equipment Vendors, Service Providers, Best of the Best - the awards area a reflection of the current market ladnscapes and are carefully examined each year to determins their relevance to the ever-evolving local telecom/ICT industry.  UNOS was accorded the 2008 Most Innovative Application/Product of the Year Award under the Service Provider category.
